Sleeping Soul

I'm remembering spring days not so long ago,
when being with you woke up my sleeping soul.

We spoke of the past with laughter and tears,
and asked ourselves how did we end up here.

We talked about our dreams and plans for the future,
facing tomorrow without you makes my heart cry from torture.

We held each other tight and kissed throughout the night.

I can still feel your soft breath against my skin,
this thought brings goose bumps back again and again.

If I believed in soulmates, I know in my heart you are mine.
No one else can make my heart race each and every time.

How sad it is that we are deaf to our hearts.
We didn't listen and now we live apart.

My dreams of the future will always be of you.
No one can take my dreams away this I know is true.

Back to the present I must live my live,
in the arms of another for I am his wife.

Hush now my crying soul, for this is how it must be.

Quite now my crying soul, for you must now go back to sleep.
