There are a lot of writers in this world who never receive the recognition they deserve and that is why we hand out our Poetry Awards – to reward those individuals we feel are deserving of recognition for their talent.

Our awards are given out in two categories – (1) awards for writers whose work appears on our site; (2) awards for writers who have their own webpage or website.

Poet Of The Month (Certificate)

This award is an award certificate and is given out once a month. The recepient is chosen by the editor of our site. To qualify for this award, you must be a writer with a Poets Page on our site. Your page must have at least 4–6 poems posted on it, along with other information about the writer. If you would like to have your work featured on our site, please read our Submission Guidelines before submitting your work to us.

Poet Of The Month (Graphic)
	This award is a web graphic and is given out along with the above award. This graphic can be placed on your web pages and linked back to our site to let people know that you have been nominated as Poet Of The Month.

Poet Of The Year (Certificate)
	This award is an award certificate and is given out at the end of the year. The recepient is chosen by general vote on our site. To qualify for this award, you must be a poet on our site and have previously won our Poet Of The Month award during the past year.

Poet Of The Year (Graphic)
	This award is a web graphic and is given out along with the above award. This graphic can be placed on your web pages and linked back to our site to let people know that you have been nominated as Poet Of The Year.

Poetry Contest Award (Certificate)
	This award is an award certificate and is given out in conjunction with our poetry contest, which we run twice a year. The recipient is chosen by a general vote on our site. Poetic Excellence Award (Graphic)
	This award is a web graphic and is given out to individuals we feel are deserving of an award for their talent in the craft of poetry. The recipient is chosen by the editor of our site. Creative Website Award (Graphic)
	This award is a web graphic and is given out to individuals we feel are deserving of an award for hosting a poetry website. The recipient is chosen by the editor of our site. As our awards are given out free to the public, there is never a submission fee to have your poetry posted on our site. Nor do we ask for a postage and handling fee when mailing your award to you. We feel that an award is something you should receive because your earned it. If you have to pay for it then it is not an award.
