Margaret C. Rigsby was born on a cold December night in 1951. She says she was married once and has two beautiful grown sons. Her interests include: interesting, intelligent people; animals; all sorts of causes; photography; reading; and of course writing.
Margaret says that she has always written, but began writing poetry when she discovered that she was a failure at her first love, drawing. About poetry she says: "If I can make the reader feel something, move them with my words, then I feel that I have accomplished my mission in my poem. However, poetry is so much more; it is my desire, my lover, the place I go to feel other people."
Margaret studied at Calhoun Community College and the University of Alabama at Huntsville. She has become an internationally published poet though she never set out to be as she uses her written word against the stigma of mental illness (brain disorders).
